This is the third article in the Twin Flame vs. Soul Mates series.
I hope you enjoyed reading first two parts of this series. As promised, I will be looking at more differences between a twin flame and soul mate relationships.

6. Once reunited, twin flames do not separate.

This is untrue. These claims mislead people who believe that all they need to do is meet their twin flame and they will never have to look for someone else ever again or worry about separation.

Based on my own experiences spanning over several lifetimes and on channeled messages from the higher dimensions - I dare say that unless both the masculine and feminine twins are spiritually awakened and are in the process of the final reunion (having completed their karmic cycles or a re nearing it) and are merging - there are possibilities of them separating as per their soul contract in that lifetime. Twin flame relationships work just as any other relationships do in this dense dimension. There is ego and other issues involved. So, to assume that by invoking your twin flame at any point would bring in the everlasting phenomenon into your life - will be disappointing unless both you and your twin are ready to merge.


7. There will come a time, when nothing can come in between twin flames.

Yes, when all of the karmic cycles have been completed and both twins have merged - regardless of which dimension they are in - it will be impossible to  separate them. THe merging process is the 'grand finale' and from then on, they shall remain together. Even in the cause of death of one of them, the relationship will remain inter-dimensional.


8. It is alright to forgo soul mate relationships for a twin flame.

Unless your charts say so - and you feel divinely lured to reunite with your twin flame, you must remember that you will not be able to predict the outcome of this reunion. Although the initial intense attraction towards each other may sweep you off your feet - much like every other relationship, it will act out as per the karmic cycle and the intention of the higher selves.

So if you are already committed to someone else and you meet your twin flame, please be wise to not allow this to interfere in your life. It is okay to acknowledge the bond. And perhaps remain as friends. For as long as we are in flesh, we do function as such and you will never know which direction the twin flame connection would go (if you are not merging yet).


9. Soul mate relationships can morph into that of a twin flame relationship.

This is untrue. Neither one can take the form of the other. You can ever only have one twin flame. None can replace that under any circumstance. Your twin will be the only half of you and he or she will have the same spiritual DNA imprint as you in the whole Universe. And you will always gravitate towards each other no matter how far and wide you are. No matter how intense or wonderful a soul mate relationship proves to be, it can never morph or replace the twin flame connection.

As the second article in the series, this will address the difference between a soul mate and a twin flame relationship. Now, as I mentioned before - there are so many resources online and offline about this highly romanticized soul connection to the extent that so many are beginning to believe that they all deserve to meet their soul mate or twin flame immediately. Now, if one would only understand that this is not a Snow White story on steroids, things will fall into a clearer perspective.

Romance, the fairy tale kind - does exist. But I would rather say that for twin flames to come to that stage, it requires tremendous effort and understanding through having spent various stages of evolution together often through multiple lifetimes. Yes, you can attract your twin flame(as promised by some psychics) but to assure you that this would be the best thing to do - is something I would never recommend. I believe in the process called life and destiny. And your higher self knows best when it comes to doing anything. Yes, you have a free will but you should know that by trusting your higher self and spirit guides - you will avoid making unnecessary moves that will probably affect your life negatively than otherwise.

Here are some claims I found on the soul mate vs. twin flame relationship. And I will be addressing them as per my personal experiences and from what I have learned over the years from channeling my spirit guides and masters.

1. In twin flame relationships, painful experiences have already occurred prior to meeting each other - mostly from relationships with soul mates over other lifetimes. Pain from a twin flame relationship is nurturing and growth supportive whereas that with a soul mate could be traumatic and difficult.

I would say, that even after you meet you twin flame - the evolution of the soul continues. It does not mean that once you reunite with your twin flame, all pain and learning ends. I have lived with my twin flame over several lifetimes. And we have had both wonderful as well as excruciating experiences together. Just because one mirrors the other does not imply that they do not suffer or inflict suffering on each other. I believe that I have been able to trust the process and trust him in knowing that even in the most abusive circumstances - my soul understood there was more to it than just the pain. Whereas with a soul mate - at some point we do tend to let go when the pain gets too severe and the purpose is served.

This difference therefore, does not apply. Suffering and lessons learned are almost if not completely equal in strength. However, the minor difference is - in the event of a traumatic experience between soul mates - the tendency to leave each other is more and less painful than that between twin flames. The twin flames will always gravitate back to each other over the lifetime - emotionally even after they have moved on separately. They will in some way look out for each other and will 'mourn' over the connection subconsciously.

In some cases, extreme anxiety and pain is experienced by twins (especially if spiritually awakened and aware of the twin flame connection). In such cases, unless both the twins are awakened and long for a reunion, the yearning from just one side alone will not bring much of a benefit.

2. You may mistaken a soul mate for a twin flame but never the other way around.

Absolute truth. The intensity involved in a twin flame relationship goes way beyond that of a sexual overtone. Sexual synchronicity between twin flames is magnificent and no physical attraction is necessary for this to occur. They are lured to each other by their higher selves and they do not require physical attraction or any of the statistics this dimension believes in - to be in love. However, soul mates can be mistaken for a twin flame because they too possess a very similar Spiritual DNA imprint as that of your twin flame. Hence, there are many who believe they have met their twin flame and are often disappointed. Not all soul mate relationships are meant to be temporary. Should your higher self need to be away from the twin flame during a particular lifetime or phase, a karmic soul mate will potentially agree to have a long term relationship with you to support you and serve its purpose as ordained. This is where, we must learn to trust that by forcefully attracting your twin flame into your life using spells or any other intention - may affect all involved negatively. Trust the process of life and your life charts. Only what is meant to be will come into being.

When you force a relationship without it feeling naturally consenting, you will alter your life purpose and cause unnecessary confusion. Consult your higher self or spirit guides through meditation regarding this before attempting to forcibly attract your twin flame.

If you are destined to meet your twin flame, you will even if one of you is in spirit. There are relationships that are inter-dimensional between twin flames in this world even as you read this. And this too is planned by the higher selves. I will address inter-dimensional twin flame relationships later in this series.

3. Sexual connection with a soul mate can be great. And that with a twin flame is exceptional. However, one simply does not rely on this alone.

One of the reasons a soul mate can be mistaken for a twin flame is because the sexual connection with a soul mate can be almost as amazing as that with a twin flame. The intensity and attraction can be so overwhelming that it can actually make you believe that you have found your twin flame. However, when the magical honeymoon ends, you will begin to see the missing part.

Sexual intensity is not the only factor in a twin flame relationship. There is unconditional love and the need to be together even when sex is not involved - defines a twin flame relationship. I have has a very traumatic and abusive relationship with my twin flame many lifetimes ago where despite the suffering - we have both loved each other intensely. It went far beyond physical and emotional bonding. But under a similar circumstance - there will be no way I would tolerate such a relationship with a soul mate. Once you have reunited with your twin flame and have experienced the sexual connection - there will be a dramatic clarity in defining the difference between every other relationship you have had and that with your twin flame.

4.Insecurities in a twin flame relationship are less when compared to that with a soul mate.

Yes, to a certain extent - the insecurities and worries about 'losing' a twin flame is less. You will simply know deep inside that you are safe in this relationship and don't require to cling onto this person. Likewise, even in the event of having to leave each other - although the initial separation pain will persist, you will not sense hatred or disappointment if you are awakened or are in the process of doing so. You have a knowingness that this isn't the final goodbye.

The same cannot be said for a soul mate connection because it is quite the opposite. The obsessive behavior to control or possess the soul mate - leading to insecurities and hatred is far more prevalent. And in the event of a separation - when both of them have decided to let go, they do and the recovery phase is easier than that of a twin flame. Above all, let me stress that all of this highly depends also on what your higher self chooses to experience at that point of time. Everything is done and said to help you grow and evolve. The same can be said for all the others involved as well.

5. Twin flames have to look alike. Soul mates don't.

This has to be by far the most misunderstood concept. Twin flames do NOT have to look alike. Not even when they are merging. I have had hilarious encounters with people who claim to be merging with their twin flames and allow themselves to believe that they have to look as similar as possible when this occurs. Physical attributes are genetic and when you are born into different cultures and genetic imprints in this world, it is unlikely that you (if you are of Chinese descent in this lifetime) will look the same as your twin who is of say... (Caucasian descent) and vice versa. The genetic and cultural conditioning in this world varies and although some twin flames do look similar, most of them do not have to be. Physical attributes vary and this must be understood.

Some people who claim to be twins of celebrities - tend to impersonate or try to look the same as the said celebrity to convince themselves and others. Well, a certain lady went even to the extent of transforming her lack of personal hygiene into that of growing a beard similar to a male celebrity who had passed. I don't think I need to say more about such eccentric personalities. And no, my intuition said otherwise about her.

I understand there are many articles and videos out there on the internet that answer this question and yet most of them have been contradicting or confusing.

I have always been someone who would rather believe through my own experience or through thorough research. I have been fortunate to have personally experienced both of these phenomenal experiences - to the extent that I have been able to study the differences based on the metaphysical experiences I have been going through for years.

Yes, there are several similarities that can easily have one misinterpret a soul mate for a twin flame. I was not spared from this confusion either but over time, I was able to find the thin but very prominent difference.

Let me begin by telling you something very important. This world has a way of selling everything. And this is by no means my way of selling you the concept of a twin flame or soul mate relationship. I am not going to give you the romanticized version alone. Yes, romance is a vital aspect of the twin flame relationship as well as that of the soul mate relationship (it being far more intense in the former), there is so much more involved in them than most people would even like to experience.

Unlike a soul mate connection, the twin flame relationship has multiple levels. And these levels vary for different pairs. I do not agree that everything in this Universe can be classified although mankind has always felt they had this in control.

Having gone through several websites,books and articles on this topic, I must say that a great deal of them do not match my personal experiences based on both my memories of my past lives nor that of the present occurrences.

Let's first look at the basic aspect of both relationships. You must understand that you can have multiple soul mates. But you can only ever have one twin flame. In very rare cases two, where there comes a necessity for the souls to split into a triad to serve another purpose within them. I have personally seen triad twin flames and known them to have very similar vibrations as that of the other version (one pair) expect for minor tweaks in them. But as I said, such occurrences are very rare but not impossible to find.

In any lifetime, you could have come across more than 2 soul mates and not necessarily of the romantic kind. Soul mates are just that. They fall under the same spiritual DNA as you and the imprints are very similar. This makes up your soul family. In every lifetime, you and your soul family come together and work out soul contracts which will help one another to evolve as intended by their higher selves. These soul contracts between soul mates can come in the form of many different relationships such as parental/offspring, siblings,close friends and even people you will meet along the way who will become an important part of that lifetime regardless of how long it lasts. Thus, the karmic relationship between soul mates is all planned and played out to help each other with their journey.

Now, the twin flame is the other part of your soul. Every soul is split into two to accentuate and reflect each other in this great cosmos to serve the highest purpose as two units - the divine masculine and the divine feminine units. Just like in soul mate relationships, the twin flames too decide if and when they should connect during their incarnations.

For some twin flames, especially those who have very important roles to play together - will choose to reincarnate together for several lifetimes. The purpose may not necessarily only be for the sake of their own evolving conditions but also for other divine purposes that will serve the dimension as a whole.

Ascended masters and other highly regarded priests and priestesses from the higher dimensions have reincarnated with their twin flames for collective divine purposes and continue to do so. They are referred to as the Golden Ray Twins. This, in no way coincides with any particular name or title given or recognized in this plane. It is a sacred title offered to twin flames who have played roles of deities or related incarnations that have required tremendous effort and understanding. Golden Ray twins have limited reincarnations and prefer to be with their twin flame as they have reached a certain level of ascension in other dimensions before they arrive here to serve the purpose they have been ordained to.

However, there are certain situations where they would, much like other twin flames, share and confine to karmic relationships with soul mates alongside in a lifetime to serve a said purpose.

So, how does one identify a soul mate or a twin flame? You will never quite understand how intense the energy can be between you and your twin flame until you have met. This is the ultimate truth. Which is why most of us tend to misunderstand soul mate connections with that of the twin flame.

The twin flame energy is much more intense (and not just sexually) simply because you both hall under the same spirit DNA consciousness. This imprint that you both share cannot be found anywhere else in any dimension. It belongs only to the both of you.

Does this mean that you should only have a relationship with your twin and that no soul mate can ever love you as much as your twin flame? In some ways yes. But in most cases, the twin flame relationship will not seem any better than that of a soul mate relationship when the honeymoon or initial contact intensity settles down. The magical dust does settle even for twin flames.

Based on my experience, even at the final stage of merging in a twin flame relationship, where both the male and the female have completely awakened and attuned with the great cosmos in purpose and alignment with the God source - there will still be issues to deal with and heal from. However, with the wisdom and understanding of the many phases and the maturity comes a greater need to be united unconditionally without allowing those issues to affect them greatly.

The evolving process does not end, And so to think that there are only a few levels of evolution for twin flames - will be naive.

When you awaken, the initial state of confusion and hesitation will not be too pleasant but the realization that

you finally seem to 'fit in' is a huge consolation.

The journey will seem fascinating but sprinkled with a lot of cleansing and confronting issues that need to be raised and healed. 

This is when most of us fumble and after a point even give up spirituality. But spirituality is not a religion to be followed and neither does it take you away from reality.

In fact, it does the opposite. Spirituality is a state of mind. Always has been a part of you. You just forgot about it in this dimension.

And it takes you deeper into life. Everything about life is magnified and the true colors of everything and everyone you know is revealed. Thus, you acceptance and understanding of all that there really is will be your primary focus.

Spirituality isn't an escape route either. One cannot avoid life and the commitments that come with it by using spirituality as an excuse.

If you are meant to be a healer or a lightworker all day long, you will be led to it and provided with the right opportunities and resources to help you balance your spiritual calling.

It takes this understanding to know that we all have our own paths and to try and follow someone else's path because they appear to be in a better place spiritually - is not advisable.

They had to also be where you are at this point sometime in the past - to get where they are now. The distance traveled is the only difference. 

Therefore, maintain a healthy balance between spirituality and life in this dimension to have the best of both worlds.

The guidance and support from spirit guides and guardian angels are very useful for the journey here. They will lead your through the best way and help you understand your higher purpose and needs.

Trust implicitly for that will open up your gifts and all the blessings that are awaiting for you to receive.

Living in possibly one of the warmest cities on this planet, it is probably too easy to give up the ‘cool’ attitude and very few seem to resist the ‘hot’ offer. All conversations either begin or lead to the climatic condition and I often find myself in them at least twice a day.

I don’t try to duck each time someone mentions how horribly hot the day is. That would not make me feel any better about the weather or the conversation. Instead, a smarter way of approaching certain unpleasant issues would be to use milder or more positive words to describe them.

A ‘bright’ day sounds much better than a hot and sultry one. Hot is uncomfortable and sweaty whereas bright isn’t. Get it?

Does that mean that I stop feeling warm and sweaty? No, but the less of a big deal I make out of it, the more tolerable and pleasant it appears. I can think of quite a few such examples that can really make you change the way you look at many circumstances.

Try saying ‘issue’ instead of ‘problem’, ‘hurdle’ instead of ‘obstacle’, ‘phase’ instead of ‘crisis’, etc. I hope you get the idea. If you can think of more examples, do add it in as a comment so that you can share it with all of us!

You may not be able to switch over to this new habit overnight but with gradual usage, it would soon become a part of your life. Every habit needs to be tamed and the good ones get better while the bad ones diminish.

Soon, people will begin to notice the change in you and may just find your new habit adorably contagious.


For now, I am going to just leave you with this thought. Have a fantastic week!

Sometimes, I wish I could pull each one of you closer to me and show you what I can see, hear and feel. But then sometimes I don't because I know that this life is so challenging that it will be too tempting. And we all have to complete our purpose set my our higher selves to walk through that magnificent veil.

It's harder for me to resist the temptation to just exit when I go through a very tough time because I know that the other side is home. The other side (the unknown to many) will always look far more magnificent than this denser dimension.

But there is a reason why some of us can see better. Feel better and hear better. It comes with a price. The price is the responsibility and the commitment one must have to resist the temptation. To bear the roughest weather and yet know its not time to leave until the purpose is served.

Gifts are freely available to all. Its what we do with it, that sets us apart. Its how we deal with it that brings us closer to them. 

The other dimensions are not in some distant place. It's right here. Like the layers of an onion, every dimension is enclosed in another. But they all are in parallel union. I have had encounters with all kinds of entities. And not all come from the higher dimensions.

Its the belief that sets us apart. The doubts. The fears. I have had an amazing journey. Every day, I discover something more to remember. To cherish. To love.

It will never be the same once you surrender to the light. By that I mean, trust like a child. Give it your all. And do so wholeheartedly. Don't try to hard. If you end up stressed and frustrated from trying for too long, you will not gain much from it. Because stress reduces your vibrations. And the whole purpose is to raise your vibration as much as possible to meet them in a common frequency.

Which is why, when we are overwhelmed with grief or pain or anger - the gifts seem to fade. So remember to stay calm and open minded. Do not doubt your abilities. In fact, accept the fact that there are no coincidences. There are only some ways the spirit guides, angels and spirits can get through. And it takes tremendous effort from them to create any dramatic effects to get your attention every time. So look out for subtle signs.

And watch what happens....
